The Jazz Project presents the 10th annual “Bellhaven Jazz Festival” at Samson Estates Winery, 1861 Van Dyk Rd, Everson on August 14th from noon to 7pm with four bands, food trucks, beer and wine.
The line up for the festival features:
1:00 pm: Greta Matassa Quintet with Alexey Nikolaev saxophone, Brian Monroney guitar, Clipper Anderson bass and Mark Ivester drums.
2:30 pm: Dmitri Matheny/Josh Cook hard bop quintet: Dmitri flugelhorn, Josh Cook tenor sax, Bill Anschell piano, Jeff Johnson bass and Jud Sherwood
4:00 pm: Gail Pettis Quartet with Bill Anschell piano, Jeff Johnson bass, Jud Sherwood drums.
5:30 pm: Christopher Woitach Quintet with Woitach guitar, Josh Cook saxophone, Dmitri Flugelhorn, Jeff Johnson bass, Jud Sherwood drums.
The Bellhaven Jazz Festival is still free and open to the public. Seating is provided at the pavilion or bring a blanket and chairs and stretch out on the winery grounds to enjoy a full day of jazz, blues, and latin music. The festival is made possible in part from funding through the National Endowment for the Arts, Washington State Arts Commission, Samson Estates, Mark Ashworth, WECU, Dorothy Sherwood, The Kolin Family, and Merideth Goodman.
