The Jazz Project presents the 11th annual “Bellhaven Jazz Festival” at Samson Estates Winery, 1861 Van Dyk Rd, Everson on August 27th. Doors open at noon; four bands from 1pm to 7pm with beer and wine available for purchase; outside food permitted.
The line up for the festival features:
1:00 pm: Jennifer Scott Quartet with Jennifer piano/vocals, Rene Worst bass, Jud Sherwood drums and Josh Cook tenor saxophone
2:30 pm: Brian Cunningham Trio: Cunningham guitar, Tom Anastasio bass and Jud Sherwood drums
4:00 pm: Jerry Steinhilber Trio with Steinhilber drums, King Dahl bass, and Josh Cook tenor saxophone.
5:30 pm: Danned If We Do (Steely Dan Cover Band) with Cheryl Hodge piano/vocals, Jud Sherwood drums/vocals, Brian Cunningham guitar, and Jon Meyers bass.
The Bellhaven Jazz Festival is still free Jazz Project, $20 for a day pass, and $10 students. Seating is provided at the pavilion or bring a blanket and chairs and stretch out on the winery grounds to enjoy a full day of jazz, blues, and latin music. The festival is made possible in part from funding through the National Endowment for the Arts, Washington State Arts Commission, Samson Estates, Mark Ashworth, WECU, Dorothy Sherwood, The Kolin Family, and Merideth Goodman.
