Bellingham Big Band Bash XII takes place at the VFW Hall on N. State Street in Bellingham from 6-9 pm. This is a fundraiser to support WWU Jazz scholarships and provide tuition assistance for the Bellingham Youth Jazz Band. $10 suggested donation. Bands include Bellingham Youth Jazz Band, WWU big bands, and select Whatcom and Skagit County high schools.
The Art of Jazz series continues on February 23 at 5pm (later start time) at the VFW Hall on N. State Street in Bellingham with Miles Black piano, John Stowell guitar, and Kevin Woods trumpet. Tickets available on line or at the door: $17 general, $10 students, and free for Jazz Project members. Full no-host bar available to purchase drinks.
